Back to the Past: Returning

It was rainy, His hair was dripping down beside his face. The wind blew violently as he walked against it. He finally reached the gates, he didn’t want to deal with the ANBU so he used the treetops as cover. While doing so he guarded his chalkra so as not to be sensed by the guards. Once past them he landed swiftly to the ground. He walked down the cold wet streets of Konaha once more. His hand on his blade as always, his black hair sleek from the rain. He finally reached the tallest  building in the village.

“Lady Tsunade!” a man barged through her doors screaming

“What!?” Tsunade barked, irritated

All the original rookies plus Sai, and team Gai were already present.

“Your going to want to see your visitor!” the man said uneasy

“Fine!” the woman barked

Then he walked in, and he got the response he expected, everyone’s face turned to shock, surprise, a few he thought he saw resentful.

“I…came back.” Sasuke spoke softly

“ I see.” Tsunade said stern, until she noticed his hand was clutched at his abdomen, it was blood covered.

He noticed her looking.

“You can’t fight 40 pissed Orochimaru followers for killing him without getting wounded.” Sasuke smirked

“Teme!” Naruto shouted and hugged Sasuke

What shocked everyone however, was when Sasuke hugged him back.

“Dobe…have you been training good and hard? If not I’ll easily kick your sorry ass.” Sasuke gave his trademark smirk

“Ahem, not to ruin your moment, but there is still the fact that Sasuke, you are an S ranked traitor…luckily we no longer run under the Elders, its all me now….SO….I’ll let you off for killing Orochimaru and coming back on your own, but I’ll watch you closely.” Tsunade smiled at him

“Thank you Tsunade-sama.” Sasuke said grateful

“All I ask is that you train hard.” Tsunade mentioned

“Hai.” Sasuke bowed his head respectfully

“Where’s…..Sakura?” Sasuke asked noticing her face was the only one missing.

“She’s studying in Suna!” Ino shouted happily

“She’s discovering all new healing herbs and everything.” TenTen put in proudly

“She is huh?” Sasuke cracked a slight smile

“She’ll be back to visit in a month or so.” Tsunade stated

“I just hope she doesn’t kill me.” Sasuke said

“Your brother will be the one to train you.” Tsunade said abruptly

“My…My brother?” Sasuke stammered

“Yes.” a voice called from behind him

“I…Itachi. . .” Sasuke whispered

“Since it was discovered that the elders were the true murders of the Uchiha clan, Itachi was cleared and the elders were sent to a high security prison.” Tsunade informed him

“I’ll leave you two to each other then.” Tsunade said.

“Come Sasuke, we have quite a bit to talk about.” Itachi motioned towards the door.

Sasuke gave Naruto one last glance, and then headed out the door with his brother.

“I hope they don’t kill each other.” Kiba said

“They won’t.” Hinata said smiling at Neji

Hinata and Neji worked through things and were closer than ever. He really was like her brother now. Neji and his uncle were very close as well.

They were back at the Uchiha Manor, walking along a deck.

“Do you know why I killed our family?” Itachi questioned his brother still looking ahead

“Because the Elders made you?” Sasuke said more as a question

“Somewhat yes, but mainly because…Sasuke do you know why Uchiha’s have two sons every time?” Itachi asked once again not looking at his sibling

“No…is there a reason?” Sasuke asked shooting Itachi a quick glance.

“Yes, the older son will go blind after using Sharingan so long, then he is to kill his younger sibling and take his sight. I loved you, truly I did, this was the reason Father and I never got along. I refused to kill you. So I took my opportunity to kill him, to save you.” Itach said, pain laid across his face like sweat beads.

“I…..I didn’t know.” was al Sasuke could say

“I plan to do the right thing with you, raise you the way you should be. In a loved environment. The other Akatsuki members will help me in training you. Sasori and Dei are really only a year and a few months older than you and your friends, so it’ll be a nice opportunity for them to be around their own age group as well.” Itachi smiled

“Sasori is easy to get along with, its Deidara who’s the pain.” Itachi gave a small chuckle.

Itachi had Shizune over to handle Sasuke’s wound. She cleaned it up and gave him some antibiotics.

Itach and Sasuke continued talking until late hours. Sasuke learned that Itachi and Pein ruled the team together, and they worked towards good now. They no longer had to be a name to fear, but a name that brought relief to all.

The next day Sasuke was to meet his brother and the rest of the team at a training ground. Surprisingly Naruto and the other’s were there too.

“Hey, Dobe, what’re you guys doing here?” Sasuke asked

“Your brother asked us here. Apparently they all want to test us.” Ino cut in

“Yea what she said.” Naruto said glaring at the blonde

Then puffs of smoke appeared all around them, each one leaving an Akatsuki member standing there.

Then Itachi appeared in the middle of them all.

“This is your test, You will be tested in strength, speed, weaponry, accuracy, and if you have a Kekkei Genkai, That too will be tested.” Itachi said in a serious tone

“Begin!” Itachi yelled.

Sasuke of course, was paired against his own brother…
